Reverse Garbage Queensland is currently seeking an organised and energetic person to join our team in the multifaceted role of Communications & Marketing Co-ordinator. We are seeking someone with communications and marketing qualifications and/or experience who is keen to make a positive contribution to a unique and dedicated not-for-profit organisation and passionate about issues surrounding sustainability, the environment and waste reduction. This is a permanent part-time position of four days per week (7.6 hours per day).

The successful applicant will be primarily responsible for co-ordinating our promotional and marketing activities as well as being the principal point of contact for communications with our community. The Communications & Marketing Co-ordinator reports directly to the Board of Directors. The four rostered days during the week will be fixed (8.45am to 5.15pm) though occasional variations, including weekend work, may be required if promotional opportunities arise at events such as festivals and conferences. The successful applicant will also be required to participate ina rotating Saturday shift, which is an additional day in our retail warehouse once every three to four weeks, as well as participate in other incidental work of the co-operative (answering phones, doing the dishes etc.).
